Who it is for

Built for people doing the work.

  • Professionals who use AI tools at work without formal training
  • Teams introducing AI into everyday processes
  • Managers who need to set expectations and boundaries for their people
  • Anyone asked to use AI responsibly but never shown how

Programme content

10 modules.

Each module is built around a decision people actually face at work, not a feature tour of a tool that will have changed by next year.

  1. AI fundamentals

What the current generation of AI actually is, in terms that hold up outside a demo.

  2. Generative AI

How generative models produce text, images and code, and why that shapes what they are good and bad at.

  3. AI tools at work

The categories of tool now in workplace use, and how to judge which task suits which tool.

  4. Prompting and effective interaction

Getting reliable output through structure, context and iteration rather than guesswork.

  5. Verification and human oversight

Checking AI output before it reaches a client, a decision or a public document.

  6. Privacy and data protection

What can and cannot go into an AI tool, and how to tell the difference before it matters.

  7. AI security

The practical risks: leaked context, prompt injection, unreviewed automation, shadow tool use.

  8. AI governance

How organisations set usable rules for AI, and what makes a policy people actually follow.

  9. EU AI Act awareness

A working awareness of the obligations landscape and where ordinary employees sit within it.

  10. Practical workplace applications

Applying the whole programme to your own role, with work produced against real tasks.

Outcomes

What participants can do afterwards.

  • Explain in plain language what current AI can and cannot do
  • Choose the right tool for a task instead of defaulting to one
  • Produce reliable output through structured prompting
  • Check AI work before it carries your name
  • Recognise what must never be entered into an AI tool
  • Understand the governance and oversight expected of you
